The "Loullia", a 3,461 ton freighter, 107 m in length x 14 m with a draught of 8.5 m was built as the "Antonia" in Öresundvarvet, Sweden in 1952. She was launched on 6th May 1952. In 1965 the ship was sold and renamed "Zschopau" until 1978 when she finally was renamed the "Loullia". She was traveling from Aqaba to Suez carrying only ballast when she ran aground on the northern side of Gordon Reef (Strait of Tiran) on 29th September 1981, totally unable to maneuver due to an engine failure.
