Andrea di Bartolo, known as Andrea Solario is a Lombard painter born around 1468-1470 in Milan and died in 1524 in the same city. He is an artist whose life and career are quite mysterious. Indeed, art historians find it difficult to agree on many dates. He belonged to a large and well-known family of Milanese artists and craftsmen, active in Lombardy, but also in Venice and Rome.
