Description
SS Thistlegorm Wreck by Roy Pedersen. The SS Thistlegorm was a British Merchant Navy ship built in 1940 in England. She was sunk on 6 October 1941 near Ras Muhammad in the Red Sea, Egypt. It is now a well known diving site. The Thistlegorm wreck lies on the sea bed at thirty metres. It is the perfect wreck dive where much of the original cargo still remains. The bow of the Thistlegorm is just fifteen metres below the surface and the propeller at twenty-seven.The Thistlegorm is over four hundred feet long. The original image was taken on a scuba dive on the wreck and edited to have a painted look.
