Shipwreck Stern Gun 2 by Roy Pedersen. The SS Thistlegorm was a British armed Merchant Navy ship built in 1940 in England. She was sunk on 6 October 1941 near Ras Muhammad in the Red Sea and is now a well known diving site.The Thistlegorm wreck lies on the sea bed at thirty metres.This is the perfect wreck dive where much of the original cargo still remains. The bow of the Thistlegorm is just fifteen metres below the surface and the propeller at twenty-seven.The Thistlegorm is over four hundred feet long.Ship wrecks are popular with scuba divers.The original photograph was taken while scuba diving in the Red Sea,Egypt and edited.
