The village of Seal is listed in the Domesday Book (1086), but the village is much older than that. The name probably comes from the Anglo-Saxon sole or sol meaning ‘a muddy slough, a wallowing place’ or ‘a pond which overflows’ .There is still a pond in Seal. The village of Seal is located within the county of Kent in the South East region of the UK .
