Description
Cotswold Cottage Black and White by Roy Pedersen. www.roypedersenphotography.com Cottages in the Cotswold village of Lower Slaughter. The village is a short drive from its better known and much more busy neighbour Bourton on the water. The name of the village of Lower Slaughter stems from the Old English name for a wet land 'slough' or 'slothre' (Old English for muddy place) upon which it lies. This quaint village sits beside the little Eye stream and is known for its unspoilt limestone cottages in the traditional Cotswold style. The Cotswolds is an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty(AONB) in the UK and is in six different counties. They are Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. The original photograph has been edited
